Clean Eating Tips

Let’s face it, most folks fail in fitness when it comes to nutrition.  Working out and getting to the gym are very important but nutrition is really 85% of fighting the weight gain battle.  I see it day in and day out at the gym.  Folks come in, they workout REALLY hard yet their physiques don’t change.  I know as a fitness professional that these folks are spinning their wheels because they are not successful when it comes to meal planning and prep.   Take a look at these clean eating tips so you ARE successful when it comes to your nutrition…….

-Ditch the processed foods!!!!  I buy meats that I have to season and cook myself, so I know exactly what is put on them and how they are prepared.

-Eat fresh fruits and veggies.

-CARBS ARE NOT THE DEVIL.  If I hear Keto one more time, I think I will scream!!!!!!  If you are working hard in the gym on a regular basis, you need complex carbs.  Plus, your brain needs carbs to function.

-Ditch the calorie counting!!!!  I competed for 10 years in the IFBB and WBFF and never counted my Macros.  That’s another word that makes me want to scream!!!!

-Prepare your meals at the beginning of your work week, so you can grab and go during the busy week.  Chances are if you are starving and don’t have healthy meals prepared you will grab the first thing that you can get your hands on, which is probably processed.

-Make smart choices when dining out!  You can always order a protein and a veggie.

-Hire a professional who can send you a balanced diet plan.  This will guarantee that you are heading in the right direction when it comes to clean eating.

-Hydrate!!!!  I can’t stress enough how important water consumption is.  Purchase a 32 ounce water bottle and drink 3-4 of them throughout your day, especially if you live in Arizona.

-Limit alcohol to weekends only.  Everything in moderation!

-Treat yourself on the weekend to a cheat meal!  You have eaten clean all week and you deserve it:)

These are just a few clean eating tips to help you be successful in the nutrition department.  Please don’t over think it and just make smart choices.  Being fit and eating well is very important, but so is learning how to balance so you are not over the top with your fitness and nutrition.  If you would like a custom nutrition plan built just for you, contact me today for a FREE consultation.  My custom nutrition plans start as low as $99.00.  Don’t be that person in the gym spinning your wheels.  Remember……..”No Excuses and that’s No Mullarkey”!
