American Ninja Experience Phoenix Cancelled

For those of you who have been following along my American Ninja Warrior training  journey, you know that I was looking forward to competing tomorrow as an “Invited Athlete” for the 1st ever American Ninja Experience at Phoenix Cardinal Stadium.  Well early this week I received this press release stating that the event has unfortunately been cancelled last minute………

Hello Karen,

It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you that the American Ninja Warrior Experience tour has officially been cancelled. The build up of this tour was incredibly exciting for those of us in the community and the cancellation in no way takes away from the effort, energy and enthusiasm everyone leveraged to make it a reality.

This is just a speed bump in the long road ahead for Ninja. Everyone that has helped build the sport up until this point can feel confident that your contribution has elevated it to a professional level.

I hope that in time we can find some additional ways for the community as a whole to grow and create more opportunities for everyone to make Ninja a real, world-wide sport.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the cancellation has cause you and your family. Your friends and family should be receiving detailed instructions about how to get a refund of their ticket purchase in the next couple days.

Regards,

Joe

Due to the number of folks who have made travel plans here to compete and to support competitors, AZ on the Rocks has decided to hold a competition.  I do half of my training at that location on a regular basis and am looking forward to running a speed course Saturday between the 2-3 pm timeframe.  Feel free to come out and meet some of your favorite ninjas from the show and Arizona’s own Adam Rayl.  I would like to thank the folks at AZR and one of my trainers, Steve Kimpton for making this happen on such a short notice.  If you do plan to come out, the event will run from Noon to 6 pm.  They do not have a ton of space for spectators so be prepared for limited parking and space to stand.
