I would like to congratulate Karen Szilagyi and Adam Rayl of the “No Mullarkey” Team on their accomplishments this past weekend at the NPC Desert Storm Classic. Karen took an impressive 1st place in her Masters Figure Class. This was Karen’s 5th competition and her very first 1st place finish. Not only does she look outstanding, she is also 49 years young and you would never guess it. She is a mother of 2, one of which is special needs with downs syndrome. This busy mother has learned the importance of balancing life and fitness. I couldn’t be more proud of Karen’s persistence and hard work over the years. It certainly has paid off. Way to go Karen!
You might recognize Adam, from this past season of American Ninja Warrior. Adam was so close to making it to Stage 3 of the Las Vegas finals, but he didn’t land his dismount on the 2nd to last obstacle. Even though his schedule has been very busy with his new found popularity, he found the time to prep for his very 1st NPC Physique competition. Adam placed 6th in the novice class, just missing a top 5 trophy. In my opinion he should have placed in the top 5 especially with his impressive stage presentation.
