Yummy Cherry Oatmeal

Let’s face it, eating clean can get very boring!  It’s probably one of the biggest complaints I get from new clients.  I have been eating clean since I began competing back in 2004 so I guess I have just gotten used to eating for fuel not for flavor.  This is one flavorful recipe that I look forward to when I wake up.  Cherries are in season so try this yummy cherry oatmeal recipe yourself, it’s quick and easy!

1 serving of Coaches Oats ( you can find them at Costco, they are microwavable steel cut oats)

1/4 cup of water

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

10 fresh cherries

Place the oats, water and cinnamon in a bowl and microwave for 1 min.  Take the seeds out of the cherries, add them to the warm oats, add another 1/4 cup of water or a little less depending on how dry you like them and microwave for another 45 seconds to a minute.  Viola!!!!!  Tastes like cherry pie!  Enjoy my friends!
