Nutrition is HUGE when it comes to getting healthy and fit. As a trainer, I have noticed over the years that it’s not the workouts my clients struggle with, but it’s nutrition. You have to constantly be aware of making healthy daily food choices in a fast paced world full of temptation and you also have to take the time to food prep. I guess I take for granted my knowledge of nutrition so here is one of my favorite recipes for seared ahi tuna……….
6-8 oz of raw ahi tuna
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1.5 tablespoons of low sodium Montreal Steak Seasoning
Lightly season the raw tuna steak. Place in a skillet on medium heat with the heated olive oil. Sear on each side for approximately 3-4 minutes depending on how thick the steak is. You still want to see some pink in the middle.
Serve with a salad and VOILA…….WINNER, WINNER AHI DINNER!!!!
I’m no chef, but it’s easy as is very yummy. Not to mention very high in lean protein, low in carbs and fat……the perfect dinner! If you are looking for more recipes, training tips and all my “Mullarkey”:), sign up for my email list on my website at https://karenmullarkey.com/.
