Workout and Make Day to Day Activities Easier

I have numerous clients who come to me for training with a specific goal. They want to compete in a figure, physique or bikini competition, they want to lose weight, they want to run a marathon or triathlon, etc. I always think it is great that they have a specific goal or deadline, but not everyone does. For those that don’t have a specific goal, I tell them to get in shape so day to day activities are no longer challenging. How many times have you been on a plane and watched someone struggle with getting their bag in the overhead compartment? Have you struggled with picking up a 40 pound bag of dog food for your fur baby? Does lifting up and chasing your children around exhaust you? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time for you to start a cardiovascular and resistance training program.

I am heading out of town today to go on my final snowboarding trip of this amazing winter season. I have stayed conditioned all winter and have already been on several snowboarding trips without getting worn out. Because I stay in shape and train year round, I am not affected by the altitude but just slightly out of breath for the first couple of days. My legs can hang all day and for several days on the mountain in a row. I stay in shape year round so I can enjoy the extracurricular activities I love doing. Once snowboard season is over, it will be boating season. I am confident that I will be ready to wear a bikini without being self conscious and I will be able to hop right back into wake boarding and slalom skiing.

Don’t be a prisoner of your body!!!! Take that step into the unknown and get control. Our bodies can be a well tuned machine if they are fueled and trained right. I will be turning 41 in a couple of weeks and I can still do any activity I put my mind too. Yes it might take a little longer to recover and I definitely take more power naps, but you won’t see me on a plane or any of my clients struggling to get our carry on bags in the overhead compartment.

You can do it too, now is the time to take that step towards getting in shape and taking control of your own body! I can help you whether you are local and can train with me one-on-one or with my group classes. If you reside outside of Arizona, be sure and contact me for virtual training or you can purchase my Ebooks for a weight training program built for your skill level. No excuses, it’s almost swimsuit season!!!!!!
