This past weekend the “No Mullarkey” Team competed in the local NPC bikini and figure competition in Mesa, AZ and brought home some hardware! I had the pleasure of prepping 7 amazing women for this show and I helped an 8th with her posing and stage presentation. Sarah Kist, Tricia Zacchini, Tara Gorman, Noel Moeckel, Nikki Valentine, Samantha Coffman, Erin Cheatwood and Cheryl Schaaf each held their own on stage and I couldn’t be more proud to be their coach.
The results are…….
Tara Gorman-3rd Place Bikini Open and Qualified for NPC Nationals, 3rd in Bikini Teen and 5th in Bikini Novice
Nikki Valentine-2nd in the Bikini Masters Class
Erin Cheatwood-4th in Figure Novice
I would like to personally congratulate each of these ladies for their dedication and hard work over the past 3 months of competition prep. It’s really not about the trophy, but what matters is they each set a goal and accomplished it. Having competed in approximately 30 amateur and professional shows throughout my 10 year career, I know how hard this journey is. I also do know what my competitors are not only going through physically, but also mentally. If this were an easy process, everyone would be walking around with amazing physiques. It is not easy, so with that said they are all winners!!!!
Each one of these ladies went through their own transformation and their stories are incredible. Noel had a brain tumor and underwent major brain surgery. She not only overcame that hurdle, but she is a single mother. Tricia began her journey in early December, lost a total of 25 lbs and went from 28.5% body fat to 16.9% in only 3 months. Nikki has been wanting to compete for years and was scared to. With the help of her teammates and myself, she now made that goal a reality. Sarah sadly lost her brother the week before the competition and decided to follow through. If that isn’t tough, I don’t know what is? Cheryl had wanted to compete for 5 years and never made it to the stage, now she can say she did it! Samantha wanted to try something new and looked amazing, you would never guess she is 41 years young. Erin competed back in September and did not place. She buckled down, worked on the areas she needed to improve and came home with some much deserved hardware. Tara decided 3 weeks out from the show to give it a shot and cleaned house! These women are very special and I feel very blessed to have helped to guide them along their journeys. Not to mention they formed a sisterhood that will last a lifetime!
