I wanted to take the time to congratulate Dennis Lauchner, Monique Martinez-Ortiz and Cheryl Schaaf of the “No Mullarkey” Team for finishing the Rock and Roll Half Marathon this past weekend. Each of these folks made a goal, trained for it and followed through. Way to get the New Year started off right and I couldn’t be more proud of each of them.
I can’t stress enough how important goal setting is throughout the year so you stay on top of your fitness. Instead of training to lose weight, come up with a goal and a deadline. Whether it is a fitness/bodybuilding competition, a triathlon, half marathon, hiking rim to rim at the Grand Canyon or whatever tickles your fancy, book it and make it happen. You will be more motivated because you will have a deadline and you will also be motivated by seeing your progress each week.
I dare you to pick a goal and go after it. I know you can do it and I would love to help you train for those deadlines whether you are local or virtually.
