Congratulations to the “No Mullarkey” Team

Last weekend the “No Mullarkey” Team competed in the Dennis James Classic in Mesa, AZ. I couldn’t be more proud of them!!!! Sarah Kist took 2nd in the Bikini Jr Masters class and 4th in the Bikini Novice B class. She has worked so hard over the past 1.5 years to transform her physique. She is a walking example that persistence and consistency with training and nutrition are key! She actually did her very first competition back in 2010, not long after I started “No Mullarkey” Personal Training. She made some major changes to her physique, but like most competitors she quit training and gained back the inches over time. She then returned 1.5 years ago to prep for her second show. She did not come home with hardware but she learned a valuable lesson that if you want to continue improving your physique you have to keep up with training and keep the body fat off. Well, she did just that and brought home some hardware. I would like to thank Sarah for being a motivator to my other competitors.

Monica Johnson made HUGE gains from her last competition. This was her second figure show and her stage presentation was 100% better! Her smile lit up the stage! You might have an amazing physique, but if you don’t have great stage presentation and posing it can really hurt you. She took what she learned from her first competition and changed her presentation. I am excited to see her back on stage a year from now after she recovers from shoulder surgery. I give her so much credit for still following through with her goal despite not being able to lift the last few weeks of competition prep. I too have been through surgery, but I didn’t use it as an excuse to quit training. You just have to look at it as a bump in the road and work around it.

Sarah Card trained virtually with me over the past 12 weeks and did amazing on stage! She is another example of someone who looked great on stage, but needs to keep up her training so she can add muscle to her frame. Results don’t happen overnight and I know this gal will be someone to watch for next year. She is going to continue training online with me tofocus on gaining muscle and keeping the body fat that she worked so hard to remove, off. I have no doubt with her discipline she will do just that! Not only is she a doll, but she is a welder by profession! Yup, pretty badass:)

I would also like to thank Nikki Valentine, Kristy Quick and Jessica Markancek for coming out to support their teammates! It takes a team to get results and I couldn’t be more proud to be their coach!

If you are looking to compete and want guidance from an IFBB turned WBFF Pro, I’m your gal. If you are not local in Scottsdale, AZ be sure and look into my Virtual Training Services at www.karenmullarkey.com.
