Team “No Mullarkey” Rocks it at NPC Natural Western Championships

March 22nd, 2012

The girls of Team “No Mullarkey” took to the stage at the recent NPC Natural Western Championships in Mesa, and they totally rocked it! I’m so proud of all the girls, they really busted their butts in the gym to get ready, and the results of their hardwork showed. Some had been there before, and for some this was their first competition – but they all look like pro’s and performed outstanding.

I want to give a shoutout to all the girls of Team “No Mullarkey” for a job well done –

Missy Cevilo (10th Bikini Jr. Masters)
Hilary Delis (10th Bikini E Class)
Susan Drumm (5th Bikini Jr. Masters)
Christine James (6th Figure Open, 7th Figure Jr. Masters)
Susie Kramer (4th Figure Masters)
Jennifer Minton (7th Bikini Jr. Masters)
Kelly Nash (3rd Bikini Jr. Masters)
Lauren Richardson (2nd Bikini A Class)
Rebecca Rosemann (7th Figure E Class).

I’m so proud of you all for your hard work and dedication, and glad you are part of Team “No Mullarkey”!

So I’m VERY, VERY excited to let y’all know that I just received my second cover – This one is for Max Sports and Fitness Magazine. I submitted an article on Boot Camp, and they not only ran the article, but they put me on the cover as well! I was pumped when I got the news, and even more pumped to see the final product! I knew 2012 was going to be a good year, and so far it’s off to a great start!

Excited for my upcoming photo shoot(s)!

February 10th, 2012

It’s gonna be a great weekend! I’m doing two photo shoots, both with the fabulously talented photographer Mike Byerly. The first one is for Louisville Slugger – They sent me some gear and will be shooting for them to use in some promotional materials and their website.

I’m also excited to announce that I will be shooting with Seattle Mariners outfielder Casper Wells. This should be fun, and I’m glad that he agreed to do it. Think there is a good opportunity to get some photos published from both shoots!

Yeehaw! Have a great weekend everyone!

Team “No Mullarkey” kicking some tail!

December 7th, 2011

A couple of “No Mullarkey” team members kicked some butt last weekend in some half marathons. Monique Ortiz ran the Fiesta Bowl half in Phoenix, finishing with a personal best time of 2 hours 29 minutes. Way to go girl, keep up the good work!

Also, “No Mullarkey” had a presence in Las Vegas. David DeLorenzo finished the Las Vegas Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon in 1:30:56, just 39 seconds off his personal best! He finished 354 out of 33,123, and 54th out of 2,248 in his division.. Rumor has it his goal is to finish under 1:20 in the January P.F. Chang’s Rock n Roll half… Good luck David and congrats to both of you.

YEEHAW!

October 31st, 2011

Five “No Mullarkey” team members will be taking the stage at the local NPC show this weekend in Mesa. I wanted to wish GOOD LUCK to David DeLorenzo, Melissa Hutt, Kate Lynn O’Dowd, Kiersten Snyder and Susan Filer! All of these competitors have been working their tails off and I can’t wait to see them get on stage. For those of you interested in attending the show you can find more info at www.npcmilesproductions.com. I recommend going to the A.M. show rather than the evening so you can see the comparisons.

Wish us luck!

Exercise Really Does Save Lives!

October 4th, 2011

Here’s one of my latest articles that was published in the October issue of Physique Magazine. I originally wrote it last year after my dad had triple bypass surgery and scared the heck out of me and my entire family. But my dad is strong, and he got through it, mainly because he knows the importance of exercise to stay healthy, and he taught me that as a young kid. I truly believe he was able to recover because of his strong will and work ethic to live a healthy life. This article holds a special place in my heart (no pun intended), and it makes me think back to that day that was so scary, yet also makes me smile because I am doing what I am today because of my dad!

Next time you think about skipping a workout for a day or a couple of days, think what that will mean in the long term for your health. Of course it’s perfectly okay to have cheat days and take days off, but just stick to a regular routine, it will truly pay off in the end!
